The importance of compression and support zones in post-surgical bras
Seamless post-surgical bras for maximum support and comfortable healing
Targeted compression on wound/scar tissue and post-surgical swollen tissue will advance the post-surgical healing process, reduce the infection risk and help achieve nicer scarring.
The Carefix post-surgical bras are designed to provide the necessary compression and support exactly where needed. This is achieved by so-called targeted compression and support zones knitted in to the products.
The integrated support and compression zones in the post-surgical bras are designed to help reduce the risk of edema and postsurgical complications, supporting the breast and scar areas while keeping wound irritation to a minimum.
These zones are specially designed into each product based on medical indication. By providing targeted compression and support, our Carefix post-surgical bras not only fixate and support the breasts after surgery, but also create optimal conditions for improved wound healing and pain relief, leading to increased comfort and faster recovery.
The compression and support zones on the sides and the back of the bra serve as support as well as posture correction, reducing post-surgical neck, shoulder and back pain without compromising mobility.
Carefix post-surgical bras contain different knitting structures
Each Carefix post-surgical from bra from Avister Medical has its own completely unique knitting structures. To clearly illustrate the different knitting structures in the bras graphically, we use colors. The colors together with the numbers 1-6 indicate the flexibility, i.e. the compression and support ability of the knitted structure:
- The lower the number, the lesser flexibility in the knitting structure, resulting in firm and stable compression zones in the bras when needed = firm knitting structure for compression
- The higher the number, the more flexibility in the knitting structure, enabling the fabric to offer the right support and freedom of movement when needed = loose knitting structure for support and flexibility
Between firm knitting structures and loose knitting structures, we have so-called transitional knitting structures.
They are an essential part of each bra for increased comfort and for the creation of a smooth body profile.
The illustrations and the knitting structure technology we use are called Tytex Zonetech(r).
The different knitting structures are also referred to as compression and support zones:
Tested performance
The knitting structure in the different compression and support zones is always determined according to surgeons' and nurses' preferences and recommendations, as are the zone location and the size of each zone.
All compression and support zones in the Carefix post-surgical bras have been tested on patients undergoing the treatment each bra is intended for. This means that every single bra is tested in terms of indication, medical performance and comfortable wearing. Altogether, this means that the knitting structure, the location and size of each compression and support zone are carefully selected according to surgeons', nurses' and end users' recommendations and preferences.
